2010 – Fairy Tales and Fantasies

The projects in this Gallery are the work of students in Lorraine Janzen Kooistra’s F2010 undergraduate class, ENG 222: Fairy Tales and Fantasies. The students’ projects aim to showcase the collection of classic and popular works of fairy tales and fantasies in the Children’s Literature Archive (CLA) in Ryerson’s Centre for Digital Humanities.

Each student group curated an exhibit of a selected fairy tale, folk tale, legend, myth, or fantasy book from the Children’s Literature Archive. The students scanned bindings and illustrations and worked together to produce an attractive exhibition with informative curatorial commentary. The project combined bibliographic and archival work with secondary research and digital methodologies. All projects in this Gallery have been peer-reviewed and have met an established standard for online publication.
